What to pack for the hospital?
These are items that GP Moms have found useful. Many of us way over-packed to go to the hospital!
*Slippers or slipper socks
* Robe
*Toiletries (shampoo, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, make-up, blow dryer)
*Glasses/contacts
*Snacks for you and your husband (easy to eat things- granola bars, peanut butter crackers, protein bars)
*Camera and charger
*Cell phone and charger
*Money for cafeteria and vending machines (for your husband)
*Boppy pillow if you plan to breastfeed
*Nursing bra or tank
*Nipple cream if breastfeeding (most hospitals will provide this)
*Comfortable pants and a shirt if you don't want to stay in the hospital gown
*A change of clothes for your husband
*Going home outfit for you (something that fit when you were 4-5 months pregnant and nothing too tight around
your belly.)
*Going home outfit for the baby and a blanket (depending on the weather)
The hospital provides everything you need for the baby- diapers, wipes, blankets, t-shirt or onesie, formula (if formula feeding)
Most hospitals will provide you with pads, mesh underwear, Tucks pads, stool softener (ask if it's not offered), nipple cream (if breastfeeding).
